Before the big day

Weddings require many moving parts that are put into motion, way before an invitation ever reaches ones hand. The future bride and groom have many decisions to make like find the right venue, choosing a gown, hiring vendors, cake tasting, and even asking the bridal party to be part of there big day. When planning a wedding, it can be stressful for all parties involved especially the bride, and groom. So before the big day arrives here are some guidelines for the bride for choosing your hair and makeup( these might also help the bridesmaids). And get ready for the ride of your life...

The Guidelines

  • Try to book your makeup consultation on a day when you are having a fitting or an event. This way you can either test the look out with your dress or look amazing for that special event.
  • Wear white or an ivory colored top when you do your run through. It will allow you to visualize better. Don't forget to bring your jewelry and veil.
  • Don't be afraid to bring your camera to your trial and take photos from different angles. With your veil and without your veil.
  • Create a timeline for the big day. Be sure to be clear with your makeup artist on how many ladies will be getting there hair and makeup done, so they can plan accordingly and bring assistants if needed.
  • Remember your wedding photos are going to be seen forever, so think timeless and classic for your wedding day.
  • Be sure to stay hydrated, as the big day gets closer sometimes you forget to drink water.
  • Don't forget to moisturize and take care of your skin.
  • Facials should be preformed 10 days prior to the wedding. They can irritate your skin leaving it with redness.
  • Waxing should be completed 3-5 days prior to your wedding day.
  • Nails. This can vary for a wedding you may choose to have it done the day before or all the way up to a week before.
  • Hair should be colored 7-10 days prior to the wedding day. Your wedding day is not the best time to decide to try a new hairstyle or a new color. Make sure you work with your hair stylist prior to the big day and know exactly what you are going in for.
