• 3 months- mascara, and liquid eyeliners
  • 6 months- liquid face makeup (if it looks like its starting to separate however they can be good for over a year), also check your cream eyeshadows and sun screen.
  • 1 year- nail polish, hair products (except hair spray)

With a new year right around the corner its the perfect time to clean out your makeup bag or vanity. New trends come with each season and sometimes we can tend to be forgetful of older products. Here's a list of different makeup items you may need to toss or update.

These are all rough estimates of time guides for products. If anything ever starts to smell or look gunky, its time to trash it. Don't forget that you should also deep clean your makeup brushes at least once a month, and always clean in between. I suggest with a brush cleanser or a spray bottle filled with 70% rubbing alcohol to disinfect and kill bacteria. This will help keep your complexion clearer.
