This look is dramatic, sexy and even a bit sultry but the smokey eye can be worn in a more subtle way also. When creating a smokey eye think about the level of drama you wish to create. Choosing lighter shades of shadows can create a softer, subtle eye look as kicking up the shades darkness will intensify the look. If you choose to add lashes to this look consider a fuller lash to really amp up the intensity. When rocking the smokey eye, I suggest to go with a softer color lip shade, nudes always look great.
1. Prime your entire eyelid to your brow.
2.Apply your highlight shade to your brow bone only.
3.Apply your midtone shade to the base of your upper lashline and bring the color up and over your entire lid. Focusing the color on your lower lid to crease. Blending so the color fades up and out.
4.Apply your Contour shade at the base of the lash line working the color up into your crease- creating a light-to-dark effect with the eyeshadow colors. Sweep your contour shade under your lower lash line.
5. Line your upper and lower lash lines with black eyeliner. To really intensify the look- tight line your upper lash line.
6.Curl your lashes and apply mascara.
